Claudia is a senior chemistry major. She is working with Liz on terpolymer synthesis and intramolecular cross-linking to form SCNP. Fortunately for us, she reluctantly returned from her summer research stay in Switzerland, where she studied biologically inspired synthetic materials and took pictures next to mountains.
Sarah is a junior Biochemistry major. She is working with Ruiwen on the Fabrication of Polymer Nanoparticles via Intrachain Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerizations (ROMP). Her interests include hiking and kayaking, and she hopes to complete her goal of climbing all 46 high peaks in the Adirondack mountains.
Chris is an undergraduate chemistry student, hoping to obtain a PhD in material science engineering, post graduation. He joined Dr. Berda's group in the fall of 2017 and is working towards his own polymeric synthesis. A fun fact about Chris is his passion for ceramics, on the wheel and hand building.
